Our Mission Statement

Our Himalaya project has been supported by the Sowa Rigpa Foundation in Boppard am Rhein/Germany since 2023, and was included in the activities of the foundation. www.sowa-rigpa.org

“Keep going. That is the path of a Bodhisattva. As long as it helps even just one being,
you must keep going – without getting discouraged.”
His Holiness the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje

Carried by this strength (Bodhisattva attitude), we have been working since 1998 to ensure that the population in the Himalayas receives all the help they need to help themselves and that their thousands of years old Buddhist culture is preserved.

Giving makes the difference and brings joy. Every bit of help is received, creates good connections and enriches everyone.

In 2006, Anna Elisabeth Bach, Ursula Schiel and Lhakpa Gyalje Sherpa. founded the Himalaya Project as a non-profit organization.
We work 100% voluntarily and hope that our activities can provide small but nevertheless important help to the population in the Nepal Himalayas.

There are many ways to support our work https://himalayaprojekt.net/get-involved/donate/
