Construction of the Khyilkhording Community School, Okhaldunga
This day school is being built by the local people, although the construction site at 3000 m is difficult to access for the
transport of materials.

The teachers are very committed so that lessons can soon be moved to the school rooms in the long term.

The goal: from March 2024, the subjects of general knowledge, three languages, mathematics, Buddhism and sports should be on the timetable for over 100 children aged 3-17. In this way, the culture of the Sherpas can be preserved in this school and the local community can be supported.

The school building will be completed step by step as soon as the donations for additional building materials have been collected.
