“Himalayan Region Welfare English School” (HRWES)
It was the wish of the meditation master Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche (1918–2003) to support the school with all his might.
Due to his decades of activity, he was considered a key figure in the cohesion of the different Buddhist communities in the entire Himalayan region.
Our mountain school is located in the Mount Everest area at an altitude of about 2700 m.
After the Lower Kindergarten, the children there attend the Upper Kindergarten and then grades 1-4.
The school lessons are organized by the headmaster Namgyal Lama and are based on the curriculum of the Nepalese government. Nepalese, English, mathematics, general knowledge and sports are taught. In order to preserve the culture of the Sherpas, Tamang and Rai.
For a good school leaving certificate, it is intended to introduce further classes.
